The CWA presents 6-7 workshops each year for its members and for other interested artists.
The goals of the NWS are to encourage interest and excellence in watermedia paintings by providing quality exhibitions and to act as an educational channel to pertinent information, exhibition opportunities, and beneficial programs to artists and their public.
The NWWS was founded in Seattle, Washington, in 1939 to promote an interest in and an appreciation for watercolor as an artistic medium.
The TWSA is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of transparent watercolor as a major medium.

Watercolor Books on Color

The Watercolorist's Complete Guide to Color by Tom Hill

My first, and foremost favorite, book on color. I was fortunate to have this book offered as a main selection when I joined North Light Books. It was exactly what I was looking for, and literally changed my outlook on watercolor.
Transparent Watercolor Wheel by Jim Kosvanec

My second favorite book on color. Jim developed a watercolor wheel that breaks down popular watercolors into separate rings that help explain each of their properties. His book is just filled with great tidbits of information.
Exploring Color by Nita Leland

My third favorite book on color. Nita does an excellent job explaining how to make various primary triads work to your style of painting.
